Style Diary: Patrick Kelly Exhibit at Philadelphia Museum of Art

As a freelance designer I find inspiration in many ways. For one, I love using Pinterest and finding images and articles that help create the aesthetic I was trying to convey with any project I’m doing. Other times I love visiting museums and art galleries to see what other artists are doing with their own work. I especially love attending costume & textile exhibits that showcase different forms of fashion from different decades and movements.

One of my favorites exhibits that I have attended was the Patrick Kelly Retrospective “Runway of Love” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art back in 2014. After learning of him and his work, he fast became one of my favorite designers. Going to this exhibit definitely was a source of inspiration and gave me an idea of what lane I wanted to go into with Stellar Design Shop. Check out some photos from the exhibit below:
