I offer a range of community‑centered art workshops and creative services designed to spark connection, collaboration, and imagination. From planning community art workshops and coordinating public art installations to running pop‑up galleries, creative markets, and arts‑based engagement programs, my work brings people together through meaningful creative experiences. I also facilitate partnerships between artists and schools, nonprofits, and businesses, and lead hands‑on workshops for adults in drawing, collage, fiber arts, and more. Black Hippie Art - Sketch Club Series
In 2021, I started the Sketch Club series, a monthly meetup where people are given a chance to meet fellow artists and art lovers while creating something unique in an inclusive environment with no experience needed. We achieve this by blending artistic techniques with radical self-care and healing practices, giving people the knowledge that art can ignite change for their mental wellness. Through the sketch club series, I have collaborated with cultural institutions such as ICA Philadelphia, Fabric Workshop & Museum, Plaza Artist Materials, InLiquid Gallery, Philadelphia Museum of Art & more.
Repurpose You Closet - Upcycling Workshop Series
In 2019, I collaborated with Neighborhood Time Exchange to conduct repurpose fashion workshops in West Philadelphia. During the Summer and Fall season, I led a 5-week course on closet repurposing and sustainable fashion, with a remarkable turnout of over 50 sign-ups. Participants were committed and attended weekly sessions, transforming forgotten closet items into new creations through sewing and upcycling.
This experience paved the way for my selection for the Barnes West "Everyday Artists Partnership" Residency in 2021, a joint initiative by the Barnes Foundation and People’s Emergency Center Community Development Corporation. The residency allowed me to continue teaching repurposed fashion and promoting sustainability and eco-friendly living. In 2022, the Arts + Business Council of Philadelphia honored the program and its participating artists at their annual award ceremony. The program was praised for connecting social impact artists with local businesses to involve residents in art-related activities, fostering creativity, hope, and healing.
